SHOCK - few of us can avoid it; from a small wee jolt of shock when stepping off a pavement at the wrong time and jumping right back to safety to a major, life changing shock that changes your whole world. Any shock will impact the energies of your body and in turn manifest in the mental and physical realms.
This protocol encourages the energies of shock, trauma and even depression to travel through AND OUT of the body in a natural circuit, rather than getting ‘stuck’ and causing problems/dis-ease.
The vibration/energy of shock can become stuck in our body – building up and travelling slowly upwards to the spine from where it can travel to any organ and cause irregular energy patterns and ultimately energy disruption and physical symptoms/dis-ease.
One could say that ‘shock’ and the associated irregular energies
can be the precursor to disease.

Bladder governs the electrical energy (associated with shock) in the body and Bladder 67 is like a grounding wire, a necessary exit for electrical/shock energy.
Located on the outside of the little toe, on each foot, it is also an entry point for shock.
It’s a 2-way street that needs to maintain flow. In a healthy cycle, the Great Yang energies travel down the body to meet the earth and the Great Yin energies come up through the feet into the body – Nature’s Yin Yang loop.
Let’s follow the possible shock route up the body ……
There is a YANG TRIAD on the foot comprised of Bladder 67 + endpoint of Gallbladder (#44 on 4th toe) + endpoint of Stomach (#45 on 2nd toe) – this triad of meridians needs to be strong as they could be considered the first line of defence against shock entering the body.
To summarise: OUTSIDE OF LITTLE TOE - TOP OF 4TH TOE - TOP OF 2ND TOE
The sole of each foot needs to be open energetically to enable true connection to the earth: manually open the gaits, side of the foot, Kidney 1 (through which the nourishing Yin energies enter the body). Spoon the feet, pull off the toes. This will keep you well ‘suctioned’ to the earth!
We then come to the heel bone (calcaneus) which is the only bone governed by Spleen which, if ‘strong’, keeps the bone ‘spongy’ so it can absorb shock and send it back into the earth.
When Spleen is weak (and this is very common with the TW dominance of an overly-stressed body) then the heel bone loses its ability to absorb shock that’s coming in from Bladder 67 and it will continue to travel up the body.
If the heel bone is in good shape and Spleen is strong, the shock/irregular energy will not get past the heel. It acts like an efficient ‘firewall’.
The next ‘firewall’ for shock is the calf muscle.
If the muscle itself and the energies are resilient, the shock will bounce back down to be earthed.
The Perineum and Root chakra area acts as a strong firewall, the shock coming up one leg will be deflected down and out the opposite leg – like a ball bouncing back off a wall. Imagine an arch from the earth up to the root chakra.
The womb will absorb a degree of shock.
Belt Flow, on a purely energetic level, will help disperse shock.
The Yang organs that are designed to protect the Yin ones (receiving) from shock. These include: Stomach, Gallbladder, Bladder, Large intestine. Because of their more solid nature Yin organs (Kidney, Liver and Spleen) are more vulnerable.
If shock gets as far as the spine, it can travel up the spinal column. The Cerebral Spinal fluid safeguards the spine itself and perhaps more importantly, the brain, from experiencing head on shock.
The Diaphragm also acts as a firewall
On either side of the spine you have Bladder meridian running in two parallel pathways – on the outer pathway you will find the Back-shu points – 12 of them – each organ has a Shu point where energy is infused before travelling to the organ itself.
If the irregular energy of shock enters the Shu points it can be carried to the organ and over time will begin to turn the actual organ energy irregular which can ultimately result in physical dis-function/DIS-EASE.
As I said at the beginning, we can’t avoid shock, be it a near miss in the car or something worse. We often push it aside to deal with ‘later’. Therefore, we all have a degree of this type of energy lurking in our bodies, so everyone will benefit from the following exercise. Try to remember it when you next experience shock or trauma, so that you can aid its transit through your body quickly and efficiently, before it adds to what I call ‘shock plaque’, residues of past shocks, both small and ‘big’, sitting in your body edging its way slowly, past the firewalls to the Shu points and then outwards towards the organs.
Shock is subjective and is greatly influenced by your personal history, sensory type, star sign, Element etc., we each react in our own unique way. What is a huge shock to one person, means nothing and has no effect whatsoever on another.
However, when it does hit you, common to all of us is that shock can cause a change in the nature of energy, turning it from a regular to an irregular pattern, losing the natural internal compass and direction needed for healthy function, either on a cellular or energetic level.
It changes how the energy moves through the body and grounds itself. Often shock will back up the ‘rebellious’ electrical energy flowing the wrong way up (rather than down) Bladder meridian. This can be a natural reaction and if your Stomach, Gallbladder and Bladder end points are holding strong with good polarity then the body will self-correct and run out of Bladder 67 earthing into the ground.
The problems occur when this natural reaction becomes an energetic ‘habit’.
BECOMING SHOCKPROOF
You can test to see if you have mischievous shock energy trapped in your body.
Touch the heel points and test.... in the diagram at the beginning .... on both feet.
1. Start by clearing: Jiggle, massage, tap and brush off kidneys (remember these affect adrenals too), hips, knees, ankles, massage along end of the Bladder meridian and the Kidney cluster on the inside ankle – pulling off the legs, gaits and Kidney 1.
Pay attention to the calves and the back of the knees (Gallbladder NVHP) to encourage flow of blood and energy so that they can act as a Firewall if necessary.
2. Create space with gentle traction on the legs. If a person is prone to headaches when working with energy, invest some time in a Crown Pull and open the Power Point, located in the middle of the occipital ridge (base of skull bone) , moving down and opening up the back of the body. Click on this link for full instructions and explanations: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/r9o023ah1de31zarg9x5t/CROWN-PULL-and-jo-cristie-for-deep-dive.docx?rlkey=s9wa3izazwbs8nxw36x10o7ff&dl=0

3. Ensure the energy is crossing and not running backwards by tapping K27 (located in the corner created by the clavicle and breastbone, on both sides) + torso crossing in both directions 5-6 times with firm pressure/open palm. (homolateral energies are always involved in dis-ease of ANY kind and the more chronically homolateral we are the more we are vulnerable to shock).
4. Polarity - Spooning the feet, fingertips/nail flipping or spinning a cut glass crystal over the ends of each toe, can be used to restore/maintain polarity. I'll offer more detail on polarity in another blog.
5. Get Triple Warmer on board – Hold/cup the jaw heels of each hand and fingertips on each temple. Breathing, smiling and using the affirmation: I AM SAFE ALL IS WELL
6.

Electrical Circuit of Bladder and Kidney – get it running: hold Bladder 67 on the outside of the little toe and Kidney 1 - see diagram to the right (first on the left foot and then on the right). Imagine a circuit/loop/link between this ‘husband and wife’
7. Spleen is crucial to the heel shock point’s health. It is also a vital part of our immune function. Spleen governs blood and spleen energy feeds every single system in the body via the blood. Massage Spleen 3, the Source Point on Spleen meridian, very safe, it's self regulating and can hyperlink energy to the organ. Spleen 3 is located on the ankle side of the 'bunion' joint on both feet.
8.

Also essential for good cushioning is Bladder 61. On the outside of the ankle. Check to ensure this point is not irregular (nail/pad test and correction). Massage the point + finger pad/nail.
9. Spinal flush moving out to Shu Points – linger and massage these points. Massage the entire Bladder Meridian – don’t worry about the exact location of each point, following it ‘roughly’ with intention. Rock it to help release residue shock plaque and then brush off. Do on the left side then the right side.

10. Balance root chakra – massage gluts, rock sacrum and Ming Men
Take several deep breaths, expanding the diaphragm as much as you can. Smile as you do this. I will also sometimes do 'alternate nostril breathing' to balance Yin Yang. I'll do another blog on exactly how to do that.
12. Now hold very firmly the shock points on each heel. They are not actual acupuncture points, so you don’t have to be precise. Rather, they are an ‘area’ about the size of a 50p piece on the heel itself. If you are alone, you can sit with heels on golf balls, tumbled stones or pebbles and press down. Continue pressure for a minute or two, relax and repeat.
If it’s an emergency, forget all the prelims and go straight to these points – do them both at the same time and as hard as possible.
13. If the shock is recent hold the Forehead Holding Points (literally hold your forehead in the palm of your hand) then Spleen NVHP a couple of inches above each ear, to help it process through.
14. Tibetan Meditation pose – scrambled energy makes you more vulnerable to shock, this unscrambles you. Go to sleep in this pose OR go to sleep hooking up. Cross ankles, then wrists, pull arms up and under against chest. If you've never seen it, that won't make any sense! Here's a short video demo ...
and the second part of this blog post has instructions for the Tibetan Meditation Pose. If you study EEM, Donna calls it the 'Alternative Wayne Cook' - https://www.madisonking.com/post/the-wayne-cook-posture-unlocking-the-path-to-clarity-and-calm
15. Localise and re-test the heel points to see if the first level of ‘shock’ has dispersed.
16. Trace the Regulator Flow, paying particular attention to the Yang Flow to help integrate the correction. Not sure how to do that, simply click on the video below.
OPTIONAL EXTRA if you feel Shock is a key issue for you.
Massage the Points on the feet that correspond to the 8 Extraordinary Vessels.
They act like little spiritual, soulful gyroscopes that support the direction you want to go in life …. Note the ‘you want’ … they respond to how they are programmed by your thoughts – so think of going down the road to ‘health and happiness’ rather than in the opposite direction.
Effectively THIS is one area that positive thinking really pays off.
Located on the medial side on the base of each toe (not the big toe).
They provide an access to this free-roaming energy system. Massage each while repeating positive affirmation/s that are appropriate; either directly related to shock or to the nature of each vessel.
These flows respond instantly to thought and your inner beliefs.
This system behaves in a totally different way to the other energetic systems we are familiar with. They hold our physical in the optimum place for our soul journey, they are the connection between our physical and our soul – you cannot ‘tame’ them: [1]
Dr Sara Allen PhD (EEM Faculty) summed it up beautifully when she said:
“We are not here to heal/teach the 8 Extraordinary Vessels.
The 8 Extraordinary Vessels are here to heal/teach us”
Medial side of each toe - i.e. 'inside'
RIGHT FOOT 2nd toe = Governing (courage/backbone /moving forward)
3rd = Bridge Yang (for bridging between two ‘things’ e.g. CNS)
4th = Regulator Yang (to regulate and adjust to change)
5th = Belt (to obtain balance between inspiration / grounding)
LEFT FOOT 2nd = Central (relating with ease to people/environment)
3rd = Bridge Yin
4th = Regulator Yin
5th = Penetrating
FIRST AID FOR SHOCK – Hook up! CV8 (Spirit Gate) is located in the centre of the navel and is invaluable for ‘rescuing you from ‘collapse’ and restoring equilibrium. Hook it up with Yin Tang (your 3rd Eye located between eyebrows).
A FINAL THOUGHT – Why not incorporate Emergency Essence, Rescue Remedy or any relevant flower essence, essential oil or crystal into your work? It will greatly enhance the results as will bringing your FULL ATTENTION, FOCUS and INTENTION to the protocol. All energy will follow your attention and intention, but shock and extraordinary energy even more so!
I invite you to take an hour or so and explore your energies to discharge any shock plaque that has build up over the years. After that, just pay attention and deal with shock as and when in happens, perhaps simply by massing those shock points on your heels before you go to bed.
