Donna Eden teaches that the Celtic Weave is both an energy system and a technique.
I love this video of Donna's daughters doing the Celtic Weave when visiting me on the island .... in front of Queen Victoria's Osbourne House ...
The Celtic Weave acts as a protective energetic force field, it becomes even more important to us as we evolve in this digital world where there is not one inch free of EMFs.
The Celtic Weave refers to the spiralling crossover patterns that underlie every healthy energy system in the body.
These figure-eight flows help keep your energies communicating, connected, and resilient.
When these flows weaken or unravel, we may feel overwhelmed, scattered, foggy, or energetically "porous."
When strengthened, we feel grounded, vibrant, resilient, and protected.
It can encourage all the energy systems—meridians, chakras, aura, electrics, strange flows — to "talk" to one another.
Long before modern energy medicine, cultures across the world revered the figure eight and spiral patterns. These shapes appear in:
Celtic knotwork, symbolizing eternity, protection, and the interconnectedness of all life.
Tibetan healing traditions, where infinity loops are visual maps of energetic harmony.
Symbolism in esoteric teachings, representing balance between the seen and unseen.
Mathematics and sacred geometry, where figure eights mirror natural patterns of flow found in magnetism, DNA structure, and planetary motion.
The figure eight is one of nature's master patterns—representing coherence, resilience, and the seamless weaving of opposites.
When you activate your own Celtic Weave, you are tapping into this ancient universal rhythm.
The Celtic Weave is particularly helpful for:
Strengthening the aura so you are less affected by others' stress or negativity.
Grounding and protecting sensitive or empathic individuals.
Stabilising meridians and chakras, helping all systems communicate coherently.
Supporting the immune system, especially in cases of severe stress, chronic illness, or immune dysfunction.
Aiding learning challenges, including dyslexia, by strengthening cross-hemispheric communication.
Enhancing clarity, vitality, and resilience.
helps you stay centred when surrounded by chaotic or “toxic” energies.
Supporting healers, carers, therapists, and anyone working around illness or emotional intensity.
Clears energetic debris
Helping your body cope with environmental toxins, electromagnetic overload, fluorescent lighting, and atmospheric pollution.
When your Celtic Weave is strong, you feel:
centred
powerful
“plugged in”
capable of navigating the world without being drained by it
How to Do the Celtic Weave
This powerful routine takes less than a minute and can be done daily—or anytime you need energetic strengthening.
Ground and prepare
Stand straight and rub your hands briskly together.
Shake them off and place your palms against the front of your thighs, fingers spread wide.
Take a few slow breaths.
Smile and relax.
Activate your energy field
Rub your hands together again, then bring them to the sides of your head—palms facing the ears, 3–6 inches away.
Pause and sense the energy between your palms and your head.
Weave the figure eights down the body
Follow the breath with each movement:
Inhale – bring elbows together.
Exhale – cross forearms across the chest (like an ancient Pharaoh), then sweep arms out to the sides.
Inhale – cross arms at waist level.
Exhale – sweep arms out.
Inhale – bend forward and cross arms in front of the knees.
Exhale – sweep out.
Inhale – cross at ankles.
Exhale – sweep out.
(this is just a guide, if you'd like to do more, please do + experiment with changing pace, observer how different it is if you do it more slowly, more quickly).
A thought ..... when you rub your hands together, add a few drops of flower essence or essential oils, even hold a crystal e.g. selenite - have fun.
Scoop Earth energy
Still bent over, bring the sides of your palms together and scoop Earth energy from the ground. Bring this energy slowly up the front of the body, up and over the head, and imagine it flowing like a waterfall down your back.
Sweep broad, generous figure eights all around your body, "fluffing" your aura and sealing your energetic weave. Pay particular attention to in front of the chest/torso area, fluffing out what the ancients refer to as the 'wei chi' - your protective energy.
A few thoughts ...
Crossing the midline—central to the Celtic Weave—activates communication between left and right hemispheres, improving coordination, learning, emotional processing, and sensory integration.
Qi Gong, Tai Chi, and other traditional practices use spiralling motions to clear stagnant energies and strengthen protective fields—paralleling the Celtic Weave.
Although often described in metaphysical terms, the human aura corresponds closely with the measurable electromagnetic field produced by the heart and brain. Movement and intention can influence the structure and strength of this field.
.... and remember, you are the voice of the goddess (or god) to your body, so why not converse with your energies/cells as you weave.
When to Use the Celtic Weave
I would say before you walk out your front door !
Use it:
before entering crowded public spaces
after emotionally intense interactions
when being exposed to strong EMFs
when feeling "off," scrambled, drained, or overwhelmed
when preparing for learning or mental focus
It is quick, effective, and profoundly grounding.
Final Thoughts
In just a minute you strengthen your aura, anchor your energies, uplift your vitality, and reconnect with one of nature’s most universal healing patterns.
This is self-care at its simplest and most profound.
A Crone Zone pondering:
You are woven into the great tapestry of life—
and your own inner weave is a powerful source
of resilience, wisdom, and radiant strength.
