If you are not 100% happy with your life, you can re-design it and the starting point is with YOU ... first port of call is to love and nurture yourself, integrate fully with your body, your Wise One Within, your mind, your authentic emotions - release your full potential for change.
Partnering yourself in this way can be a springboard to positive change.
They say that every journey begins with one simple step. So, working to that concept let that first simple step evoke the energy of gratitude - today focus on just ONE thing you can be grateful for, keep taking 5 seconds, stop, smile, breath deeply, place both hands on your heart and simply say:
THANK YOU for xyz
Do this as many times as you can remember today.
Tomorrow do the same again either with the same object of your gratitude or pick a new one.
Mine today is:
THANK YOU BODY for keeping going so well after decades of overuse! I love you.
and I pat myself, normally on my shoulder or thigh.
Reconnecting to our bodies is vital. If we are unhappy with the way they look or function, it's just too easy to turn our back, metaphorically speaking, and disconnect. Which starts a downward spiral in energetic, physical, mental and emotional health and well-being.
Turn back, look at your body, touch your body, smile in the mirror and reconnect. Together, as a 'whole' you can then begin to make other changes in your life, create the life you want to live .... change what you can and appreciate what you already have. It's all too easy to ignore our 'blessings'. Happiness comes from recognising the abundance we already have in our lives.
I realised at some stage in my life that I had no full length mirrors in my house, I never really looked at myself from the chest downwards!!! It was a habit I developed without even noticing. It was part of the DIS-connection with a body I didn’t like. If I didn’t see it, it didn’t exist!
I bought myself a full length mirror and put it in a place where I could look at myself naked, yes no clothes ! at first I didn’t like it at all, I felt ashamed, fat, blobby …. But something happened; as I began to dialogue with my body, I began to reconnect and could see the good things it presented, the fact that it served, and serves, me so well and faithfully. I make a ritual out of coming out of the shower, massaging beautiful oil into my body, smiling, laughing and being GRATEFUL to my body, falling in love with it, connecting with it.
Test yourself right now. If you are alone at home, how do you feel about the idea of stripping off and looking at yourself in the mirror? That will give you an idea of if you need this particular exercise or not.
I LOVE YOU – YOU ARE LOVED – YOU ARE SO LOVEABLE – LOOK AT YOU, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO FOR ME. I WANT FULL CONNECTION, WE ARE ONE AND WE GO FORWARD IN HARMONY AND HEALTH.
Let this be your self-talk,
whenever you have a spare minute.
(remember to smile)
