Basic intro to animal chakras

The above illustration shows the key chakra system on us 2-leggeds and on animals the locations are more or less the same. As with humans the energy of each chakra spirals out the front of the body (Yin) and the back (Yang).
'Mostly' animals find it more acceptable and less 'threatening' to experience the connection on the Yang side i.e. the back as they can feel vulnerable when the Yin side is exposed.
Another key difference is the heart chakra which expands outwards from the chest as it does in humans but in some animals, I'm thinking horses and dogs, the energy of the heart chakra expands out through the shoulders as well.
As an introduction, here are the BASIC CHAKRA ASSOCIATIONS
1.Root Chakra
Dogs & Cats: At the base of the tail, where the tail meets the body
Horses: Base of the tail, extending into the hindquarters and hooves

Immune strength & vitality
2. Sacral Chakra

Bonding with humans/animals
Stress related to change or loss

Horses: Poll (top of head, between ears)
Calm presence
Spiritual connection
Sense of peace or disorientation
Central nervous system
Endocrine balance
Overall energetic integration
In addition, at the class today I talked about 2 other chakras:
THE EARTH STAR CHAKRA BELOW AND THE SOUL CHAKRA ABOVE
WHY? Because, in general, animals respond even more deeply to these two than us 2-leggeds do.
Here’s a brief intro
EARTH STAR CHAKRA
Also called: Gaia Star, Grounding Star
Colour: Deep brown, black, or smoky gold
Associated Element: Earth
In animals, the Earth Star is often stronger and wider than in humans, especially in horses and outdoor animals. In humans it's up to 18" below our feet.
Dogs & Cats: About 6–12 inches below the body, directly beneath the chest/belly area (energetic, not physical)
Horses: About 12–18 inches below the body, often felt beneath the heart or centre of mass
Deep sense of belonging
Stability during stress or change
Feeling “at home” in the body and environment
Musculoskeletal alignment
Chronic tension or weakness patterns
Recovery from injury or trauma
Grounding excess energy
Discharging fear and shock
Strengthening the animal’s connection to the land
SOUL STAR CHAKRA
White, pearlescent gold, or soft violet
Many animals naturally live through the Soul Star, especially those who act as companions, teachers, or healers.
in us humans it's about 12 inches above crown chakra
Dogs & Cats: About 6–12 inches above the head
Horses: About 12–18 inches above the poll,
Peace beyond emotion
Compassion without attachment
Acceptance
Nervous system regulation
Soul purpose and animal–human contracts
Transitions (arrival, major change, end-of-life)
Integration of healing on all levels
Working with Earth Star & Soul Star Together (Animals)
This pairing is incredibly stabilizing and gentle.
This helps animals:
Settle anxiety
Recover after vet visits or travel
Feel supported during aging or illness
Simple Holding Technique:
One hand attuned downward to the Earth Star
One hand hovering or lightly touching near the Crown, intending connection to the Soul Star. I normally work with the palm facing down BUT, if you think of the Connecting Heaven and Earth exercise, the palm can be facing upwards - try both and see which provides more of a sense of connection.
Breathe slowly for 1–2 minutes (smile too)
