BLADDER 64: THE SOURCE POINT

Known as Capital Bone, this point is a significant acupuncture point known as the Bladder ‘source point’ and as such is a safe point to work as it’s self-regulating – you don’t have to decide if you strengthen or subdue the energies on the energy pathway, the source point does that for you.
Bladder 64 may seem like a small spot on the foot, but it’s a powerful doorway to deep healing and emotional balance. Whether you’re working with a 'leaky bladder', chronic fear, stress, back pain, or you simply want to reconnect with your inner wisdom, this point offers a gentle, effective way to do that.
Located on the lateral (out) side of the foot, Start by locating the outer ankle bone (lateral malleolus).Feel for the depression just below and in front of the ankle bone. Your finger will ‘sink’ into it as the electrical resistance on the skin is less.

Massaging this point for a couple of minutes daily, offers several potential benefits:
Helps alleviate ankle pain, heel pain (especially related to plantar fasciitis), and lower leg discomfort.
Supports urinary function and may help with conditions like urinary retention or incontinence.
Can induce relaxation and reduce stress levels, benefiting overall well-being.
It is a point that can be useful for those prone to seizures and at night rub with magnesium butter to supress cramps - Another tip is if the person experiences the 'aura' before a seizure, firmly and quickly rub up from between the inside of the eyes, up through past inside of eyebrows and straight up the forehead to the hairline. (the beginning of Bladder pathway). Breath in through the nose and out through the mouth with pursed lips - numerous times in quick succession. Following by a long hook up (3rd Eye and navel), smile and breathe deeply.
In Five Element Theory, the Bladder and Kidney meridians belong to the Water element, which governs:

· Rest and rejuvenation
· Adaptability and flow
Stimulating this point helps to:
